Extended Warranty for Toyota Highlander
Putnam Toyota, through Toyota Financial Services offers your vehicle an extended warranty with a Toyota Extra Care Vehicle Service Agreement. These protection plans come in three different levels, Platinum, Gold and Silver. The Platinum plans represent new car bumper-to-bumper warranties, and your vehicle must be brand new to qualify for this coverage. The Gold plan is a stated warranty, while the Silver plan represents power train coverage. All Toyota warranties come with additional benefits, and based on your needs, we'll help find the right plan for you.
Toyota Basic Warranty: 36 months/36,000 miles (all components other than normal wear and maintenance items).
Toyota Powertrain Warranty: 60 months/60,000 miles (engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, seatbelts and airbags).
Toyota Rust-Through Warranty Coverage: 60 months/unlimited miles (corrosion perforation of sheet metal).
Emissions: Coverages vary under Federal and California regulations. Refer to applicable Owner's Warranty Information booklet for details.
Toyota Accessories: For accessories purchased at time of the new vehicle purchase, the Toyota Accessory Warranty coverage is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the vehicle's in-service date, which is the same coverage as the Basic coverage of the Toyota New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
For dealer-installed accessories purchased after the new vehicle purchase, the coverage is 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date the accessory was installed on the vehicle, or the remainder of the above 36 months or 36,000 miles Basic coverage from the vehicle's in-service date, whichever provides greater coverage, with the exception of car covers. Car covers are warranted for 12 months from the date of purchase and do not assume any coverage under the Toyota New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
For customer (non-dealer)-installed accessories purchased after the new vehicle purchase, the coverage is 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first), from the purchase date of the accessory.
You may be eligible for transportation assistance if it is necessary that your vehicle be kept overnight for repairs covered under warranty. Please see your Putnam Toyota dealership for further details.
For complete details about Toyota's warranties, please refer to the applicable Owner's Warranty Information booklet or see your Putnam Toyota dealer representative.
Hybrid-Related Component Coverage: Hybrid-related components for hybrid vehicles are covered for 8 years/100,000 miles. The HV battery may have longer coverage under emissions warranty. Refer to applicable Owner's Warranty Information booklet for details.
For additional Toyota Extended Warranty Information, please ask your Putnam Toyota dealer about our Toyota service plans and how our extended warranty coverage can help.
Research Reviews for Toyota Highlander
The 2010 Toyota Highlander is largely unchanged. This midsize crossover SUV seats up to seven with a folding 3rd-row seat and 2nd-row bucket seats. The 2nd-row offers three-passenger capacity via a detachable padded center section that folds and stows in a 1st-row console when not in use. Most Highlanders reprise a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Base, Sport, Limited, and gas/electric Hybrid trim levels return. Base versions come with a 187-hp 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine. Optional on the Base and standard on Sport and Limited is a 270-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine. The 4-cylinder engine teams with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The V6 pairs with a 5-speed automatic.
Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags that cover all seating rows, front side airbags, and a driver knee airbag. Standard on all non-hybrid AWD models is hill descent control. Options include a sunroof, DVD entertainment, three-zone climate control, and a navigation system. A rearview camera is newly available on the Base V6. This report is based on evaluations of the 2009 Toyota Highlander.
The Toyota Highlander is a functional, family-friendly crossover. Riding on a platform shared with the Toyota Camry and Avalon, the second-generation Highlander boasts decent fuel economy, three available rows of seats and a smooth, car-like ride. With a base price of $27,600, the Highlander is one of the more affordable midsize SUVs and it's a good value over time. - U.S. News and World Report
This popular crossover is a segment benchmark with carlike handling and a pillowy ride. Interior acreage is vast, and the seating is flexible. A foldaway third row bumps capacity to seven and is just one option on a long list. It’s a great choice for families on the go. - Car and Driver
